Plain text files are everywhere: notes, logs, exported chats, code, licence texts and data dumps. They open in any editor, but they print badly from a browser, have no page layout and are not accepted by many document portals. This tool turns a .txt file into a tidy PDF with proper pages and margins, and handles any language and alphabet, including Urdu, Hindi, Arabic and Chinese.

How the text is laid out

Each paragraph and line break in your file is kept exactly. Long lines wrap at the page margin instead of running off the page, and new pages start automatically.

The text is set in a clear, standard font at normal reading size on A4 paper. Files saved as UTF-8 (the default in modern editors) show every language correctly; very old files in other encodings may show odd characters, so re-save them as UTF-8 in Notepad first if that happens.

Text, not pictures

The PDF contains real text, not an image of it, so it stays searchable, selectable and copyable, and is small: a 100-page text file is usually only a few hundred kilobytes as PDF.

Need the opposite? PDF to TXT pulls the text back out of a PDF.

Frequently asked questions

Does it support Urdu, Hindi, Arabic or Chinese text?

Yes, as long as the file is saved as UTF-8, which is the default in modern editors.

Can I search the text in the PDF?
