How it works

1

Choose a photo

Pick a JPG, PNG, WebP or iPhone HEIC image up to 50 MB.

2

Set the size

Pick a preset or type a width and height in pixels, mm, cm or inches. Choose “Crop to fill” for an exact shape or “Fit inside” to keep the whole picture with a white border. Optionally set a minimum and maximum KB.

3

Resize and download

See a preview, the exact pixel size and the file size, then download. Your upload is deleted from the server straight away.

Every place you put a picture wants its own size: a square for Instagram, 1280 × 720 for a YouTube thumbnail, 35 × 45 mm for an ID photo, “under 100 KB” for a form. This resizer handles all of it in one place. Type the size in pixels, millimetres, centimetres or inches, choose whether to crop or fit, and optionally set a KB limit. You get exactly the dimensions you asked for.

Crop to fill or fit inside?

“Crop to fill” makes the image exactly the size you typed and trims whatever does not fit. The crop is placed over the most important part of the picture, usually a face or the main subject, rather than simply the centre.

“Fit inside” keeps the whole image and adds white bars where the shape differs. Use it for documents, signatures and logos, where nothing may be cut off.

Pixels, centimetres, inches and DPI

Screens count pixels. Printing counts physical size. DPI (dots per inch) connects the two: at 300 DPI, a 2 × 2 inch photo is 600 × 600 pixels, and 35 × 45 mm is 413 × 531 pixels. When you type a size in mm, cm or inches, the pixel size is worked out for you and the DPI is saved in the file, so print shops and forms read the right physical size.

For social media and websites use pixels and leave DPI at 72; it has no effect on screens.

Hitting a KB limit at the same time

Set Max KB and the image is saved at the best quality that stays under it, at the exact pixel size you chose. Some forms also demand a minimum, such as “between 10 KB and 50 KB”; set Min KB and small images are saved at higher quality, and padded if needed, so they are accepted.

If you only care about the file size and not the exact pixels, the Compress Image to 100 KB, 200 KB and other size pages are simpler.

Frequently asked questions

How do I resize an image to a specific size in cm?

Choose “cm” as the unit, type the width and height, and keep DPI at 300 for printing. The tool shows the pixel size it will create before you press Resize.

Will resizing make my photo blurry?

Making an image smaller keeps it sharp. Making it much larger than the original cannot add detail, so a very small picture enlarged a lot will look soft.

Can I resize to a size in KB?

Yes, fill in Max KB (and Min KB if your form has one). The pixel size stays what you set; only the quality is adjusted.

Which format should I pick?

JPG for photos and forms, PNG for screenshots, logos and anything with text or transparency, WebP for the smallest files on your own website.

Does it work on iPhone photos?

Yes, HEIC photos are accepted and saved as JPG, PNG or WebP.
