A spreadsheet is a working file; a PDF is what you send. Invoices, price lists, salary slips, timetables, mark sheets and financial reports all look unprofessional (and can be edited by mistake) when sent as .xlsx. Converting Excel to PDF fixes the layout, keeps the borders, colours, number formats and charts, and gives the reader a file that opens on any phone without Excel.
How sheets become pages
The converter uses the print settings stored in your workbook: page orientation, paper size, margins, print area, repeated header rows and “fit to page” scaling. If you set these up in Excel (Page Layout tab), the PDF will match what Excel would print.
Every sheet that contains data is included, one after another. Hidden sheets are skipped.
Wide tables without print settings may be split across several pages. For a neat result, open the file in Excel, choose Page Layout → Orientation → Landscape and Scale to Fit → Width: 1 page, save, and convert again.
What is kept
Cell formatting (fonts, bold, colours, fills, borders), number and date formats, merged cells, images, charts, headers and footers all come through. Formulas are shown as their calculated values, exactly as you see them in Excel.
CSV files have no formatting, so they become a simple, plain table.

Frequently asked questions
How do I convert Excel to PDF without Excel?
Upload the .xlsx or .xls file on this page and press Convert. No Microsoft Office is needed; it works on phones too.
Why is my table split across pages?
The sheet is wider than the page. In Excel set Page Layout → Landscape and Fit to 1 page wide, save, and convert again.
Are all sheets converted?
Yes, every sheet that contains data is included in the PDF, in order. Hidden sheets are skipped.
Are formulas kept?
The PDF shows the calculated results, exactly as they appear in the spreadsheet.
Can I convert CSV to PDF?
Yes. CSV files become a simple table in the PDF.
Are my spreadsheets stored?
No. Each file is converted in a private temporary folder that is deleted as soon as the PDF is sent back to you.
