Convert an SVG to JPG when a website, form or app accepts only JPG images. Transparent parts of the graphic are filled with white so the image looks clean on any background.

SVG vs JPG: what changes

SVG is a scalable vector format that stays sharp at any size but is not supported by most upload forms and photo apps. JPG is supported everywhere but has no transparency and is designed for photos, so very sharp edges and flat colours can show slight softening. Choose SVG to PNG instead if you need a transparent background.

When to convert SVG to JPG

Use it for upload forms that list only JPG, for email signatures and older software, or when a print service asks for JPG artwork.

Before you convert

JPG cannot be transparent, so transparent areas become white. Fine lines and text are rendered at about 1000 pixels on the long side, which is fine for most uses; for print, keep the SVG and give the printer the original.

Common problems and fixes

The transparent background turned white

JPG cannot be transparent, so the empty area becomes white. Use SVG to PNG if the logo must sit on coloured backgrounds.

Thin lines look soft

JPG compression blurs very fine lines and small text slightly. PNG keeps them crisp; use JPG only where a JPG is required.

The image is the wrong size

SVG output is rendered at about 1000 pixels on the long side. Resize the JPG with Resize Image if you need exact pixels.

Frequently asked questions

Why is the background white?

JPG has no transparency, so transparent areas need a colour. White is the standard choice. Use SVG to PNG to keep the background transparent.

Will text in my SVG look right?

Text drawn as shapes always looks right. Text that depends on a special web font may fall back to a standard font, so check the result.
